We are GAEA.

GAEA conservation studio was created with the purpose of connecting change-makers with impactful environmental and wildlife projects in some of the most vulnerable habitats all over the world.

For all people with a deep connection to nature, passionate about conserving our wildlife and resources, and who want to be a part of a change by making the most of their time on earth.

We want to encourage and inspire the next generation of veterinary professionals, conservationists and animal lovers to travel with a purpose. Explore beautiful countries around the globe whilst getting involved in some incredible work on projects working towards the same goal.

We hope this space will be used to raise awareness and promote change.

Welcome to GAEA.

Meet the Team

Lily Cook RVN

Qualifying as a veterinary nurse in 2021, Lily headed straight to South Africa to work on our pre-vet programme for the summer. She then split her time between veterinary practice in the UK and South Africa as she started managing the programme.

Since leaving her role on the programme at the end of 2023, she now focuses her time on building a foundation for GAEA, building strong relationships with our current partners, as well as assisting in the start up of new projects. Having found a passion for wildlife & game capture, she frequently assists one of our wildlife vets in the field.

Chabeli Alvarado

Chabeli joined our pre-vet programme for 6 weeks in 2021, falling in love with the country, animals and its people. She has since completed a bachelors degree in animal science. She currently resides in Puerto Rico where she works in veterinary practice and frequently visits universities and colleges to talk on conservation, volunteering and encouraging the next generation of change-makers to travel with a purpose.
